(no "tapping", no pips) but the timer should turn to 0 at 7pm and I won't give up on it *just* yet

I'm a bit late to the thread, but I see you have Muscovies, so probably not TOO late!

I'm watching the mailbox for some Australian Spotted eggs today. Should have some Welsh Harlequin and crested Pekin later this week.

I'm in lockdown on my 5 Saxony eggs. Set to hatch on Friday the 20th. Got my humidity nice and high at the start to give it room to drop as we are not expected to get much precipitation in the next several days.

I set 22 Pekin Duck eggs on April 7th and after last night's candling, I have 20 that are developing. These will be my first hatchlings and I'm super excited! My hatch day should be around May 4th.

I will join... Set 6 mixed eggs on April 8. All are developing nicely. First time with duck eggs AND first time using humidity. I normally dry hatch chicken eggs. I can't wait for May 6!

Is dry-hatching just for chickens, then?
I'm so confused!

I don't know for sure, I've seen around that dry hatching is not recommended for waterfowl. Seeing as I had two eggs that I really want the best chance possible of hatching I thought is give them every chance I could.

I hope that all your eggs hatch! I candled them last night!. Out of 25 23 are all growing!! Heres a link to my youtube video of my incubator. And I agree dry hatching has never worked for me and ducks..

One hatch down, many to go. Cleaned the hatcher and locked down 3 welsh harlequin eggs and a silkie (that doesn't look too good). One of the WH's was moving around in the egg as I transferred it to the hatcher and pipped soon after.

More ducklings on the way! Got to get some of my buyers over here so I can clear brooder space for the new ones!
