I just set 16 B/B/S Australorp eggs from my own flock in my incubator at 4:30 PM yesterday. I'm trying out that dry hatch method this time in my styrofoam Little Giant still air incubator. The hatch is due on May 3rd.

I have read that hatching eggs can be insured, and things like detached air cells is damage worthy of a claim. The article was in the learning center somewhere.I have now had to pull 2 Biele eggs for oozing orange gunk.I had a bad feeling all along that these eggs actually got SHAKEN at the PO. Another Cochin zipping and my own 4 BR eggs I added...1 pipping, 3 shaking and wiggling. So everything but the Bieles showing progress. I'm not giving up yet...just ranting. No idea how you deal with a NASTY postmaster.
Anybody have a clue? I have goslings coming next week and now I fear for their LIFE.
3 Cochins hatched, 3 pipping...
Awe! Look at those cuties! Congrats.
