Its probably not the postmaster. The drivers are the ones that are poo-heads!! I don't get shipped eggs, but every car part we order, looks like they played soccer with it. I think if you make a big enough fuss about it, they should straighten up. Or... Ship through UPS, they always seem to have their stuff together. (not cheap tho)
I just wanted to share that I just had my 3rd hatch and I assisted 3 chicks who are now doing great. 2 were shrink wrapped and I think the third was just too big lol. My first two hatches I was so afraid to assist because of things I've read, not here, but just typical internet chicken blogs.. and I lost several chicks after the external pip. I followed the strict lockdown rules those times and felt more horrible with each loss of a beautiful, fully formed chick. This time when my intuition told me something was wrong and they weren't progressing, I couldn't just sit and watch. Assisting them was pretty easy, after making sure the blood vessels were dried up and yolk was absorbed. The process took a while, but I'm happy to report I didn't lose any chicks after external pip this time and all are chirping around making me so proud.![]()

You can ship through anybody. Most people go usps cause they're cheap. And yes, fedex cant even find an address to save their life. They'll drop them at abandoned houses and in the grass at the end of a field. (I KNOW)
Actually, the USPS is the only entity that allows the shipment of anything poultry related. All other carriers will not (or are not legally allowed to).
