April Hatch Along

Pics
Well, after years of searching for local silkie eggs I purchased some and expect their fuzzy butts around 4/29/17!!!!
I started with 18, 7 were either not fertile or gave up.
My concern is the air cells appeared a bit small on day 14. I decreased the humidity in hopes of correcting this.
Does this seem right?

Any Silkie people out there with Hatching advice??

Good luck everyone!

Progress update: one EE was out on Wednesday, three more yesterday, and one today. Another died yesterday after piping and two appear DIS. Someone else is chirping in the hatcher, I think a wheaten Marans mix.

I am a bit overwhelmed by all these babies that may hatch but hopefully they sell quick. I am taking 44 started chicks to a swap tomorrow. Hopefully they all get sold!

I have my list of what I'll allow myself to buy to try to maintain control, though that didn't work at the poultry show I went to a couple weeks ago

So far a successful hatch!!! 6 ducklings in the brooder and 5 more hatched in the incubator. Still waiting on 7 more.

We have some serious numbers going on here! Congrats on all the hatches!

I have two broodies birthin babies yesterday and today. My chocolate orp hatched her 3. I had removed a few quitters and she kept getting off the eggs, so I'm happy she finished with 3. My bantam cochin is on 7 or 8, the one that was sharing with the frizzled that killed the first hatchling. I've seen 2 chicks so far. This could take a few days, the girls kept collecting eggs. I did my best to remove daily, but I think I may have missed some.

And a bunch in the incubator, seramas and SDW OEGBs get locked down this weekend, those eggs I also shared with a broody from their respective pens, so...... I'll be having a ton of chicks soon too. Luckily, the mommas will raise most of them!
