we purchased 24 chicks on 4/11 newly hatched Buff Orpingtons. We have 11 Orpingtons in the incubator and 7 Bantams. 3 Bantams arrived today and the rest should arrive tonight.

I just candled my first set of 24 eggs, only one that is iffy. I have another 12 to candle on sat, then another 12 Monday. So far so good, I'm so excited!!!! So this time around ive set 48 eggs and all are due the last week of april. I cant believe how well my eggs are doing...I would love to buy other eggs but they scare me.

I will probably stick with buying chicks for now...congrats on all the babes!!!

I have 3 external pips and 3 internal pips out of 11 BLRW eggs so far!!!

Here's to hoping the rest decide to come on out and play. I could see movement in the other they just hadn't started trying to escape the egg yet. Day 20 started today at 11am so I was thrilled to come home from work and find these pips! Hoping I can wake up tomorrow morning to a couple little chickies!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stand the wait!

Congrats to everyone that has new healthy fluffy butts!

I have been sick. Had to go to er last night due to drug reaction from new medicine. I hate going to new drs. Won't go back to him ever again. He even new my drug allergies. Anyways I am on antiabotic now and my white blood count is low but I will be ok. Going to see one of my normal docs tomorrow and make them promise to never send me to that neuro doc again. But anyways

I woke up to a new chick this morning and a ee piped. Oh what am amazing feeling. I love all of my babies!

Hope everyone is waiting patiently for their new arrivals! Happy hatching

I'm waiting, not patiently though...

I am sorry about the allergic reaction, I have some pretty bad allergies too. I am allergic to everything they can test for plus found out the way you did that I had some medicinal allergies.

Hope you start feeling better after that ordeal.

I would go stir crazy! I am seriously addicted though. I have two LG forced air, one has a turner and the other is suppose to be my hatcher even though it catches the overfill from the Brinsea and the LG with the turner. The Brinsea is the Octagon 20 ECO. I love that thing, it does such a good job and it has the turning cradle on it now too.
