I'm a realtor. If you aren't looking to sell, then the floor can wait! Throw a rug on top! Priorities!

I am still on day 17 for 9 Mandarin duck eggs. Started out with 12 Mandarin eggs but some were clear at 7 days of incubation. Also have 3 Ancona duck eggs in incubator on day 7. I am using RCOM 20 MAX and RCOM 20 PRO for both set of eggs and have had great luck with these incubators.

And the final count is 6 chicks out of the 9 eggs that made it to lock down. Not too shabby for my first hatch attempt ever! (And with shipped eggs no less.)

We ended up with:

2 Marans (cuckoo I believe)
1 Barred Rock
1 EE
2 Black Austrolorps

The second set of eggs is in my home made incubator that was intended to a hatcher but it holds temps so much better than my Farm innovations forced air(which I am returning thanks to Amazon's generous return policies). I am hopeful I get at least a few more chicks out of this next batch. Unfortunately they were beaten and shook by the post office and it appears the hens who laid the eggs were quite young. I went back to the listing I bought them from and I had missed the fact the hens and rooster were only 4 months old....So we shall see. They were inexpensive but, also the breed I want the most

For anyone hatching with a LG Still Air, I just discovered that the 2 windows pop out quite easily. This may be a lifesaver during hatching! Pop the window, grab the chick, slam the window back down quick. No harm, no foul during my staggered hatching that is currently going on! At least that's my theory.

Works great! I've got 2 LG forced air and I do the same thing.

I know what you mean - I'm not sure I could do it if I still did Warhammer (never got into 40k).  Those minatures were expensive and took forever to paint.

But having lots of hobbies is good - it means you never get bored!

Wow someone who's played 40k on here.
I'm lookin to get out of it.

Never bored is right also never above water lol.

Good to know Rcom is quality stuff.

Day 19, nothing yet. :fl Wednesday is the "official" hatch date, but I have some bantam/standard crosses, big babies in small eggs, that I'm expecting to hatch early. They looked ready to pop when I candled on day 16. :idunno

My two orphaned eggs have hatched! Here are some pics. Annie is less than 12 hours old and Oliver is about 1 day old.
