Couldn't sleep so ended up candling incubator #1 - 14 developing (guess the one I thought was a blood ring wasn't) and fairly sure the other 12 of the first set are duds now. I'll remove the clears on the 14th day unless things smell.
Of the grocery store eggs I tossed in, it looks like one is for sure developing
They are still a bit too early to say for sure on any but the one that is really darkened up. These eggs are dark like I would guess Marans would be.
Neat observations included watching a heat beat - one egg had a superb view!
Air cells look better, they are easier to see than in the beginning. Most of the duds are from one kind of chicken - golden lakenvelders (all of those eggs are duds). The others only have 1-2 duds per type, except the guys on the bottom were about 50/50.
Bator #2 is finally into good humidity as well as temperatures. The wait until I can actually candle these guys will be hard. Ok, with that I'm going to try and go back to sleep.
