It hasn't been too dry here in pa, either. I'm going to keep them in a big flight pen with many perches and dry spots. I did hear that they can't be released and expected to survive in wet conditions, but as long as I have heavy cover and brush in the pen, they should be fine.

bad news on my eggs. Day 18 today. No pips. I was worried this might happen. As I said the package was super damaged and the air sacs are totally screwed up. Some look like clovers and some are like two blobs not even connected. And the rest just really irregular blobs. Not looking so good for them. I might contact Zack later if nothing hatches by day 20.

my quail are in lockdown . today is day 15. I put a sponge in and the humidity got way too high. (98%).

sorry everyone, my family and I left for vacation the day before anything happened. I know, great timing on my part. So my farm sitter has been taking pictures. So far, 11 hatched!!! And last time she texted me she said two more were hatching! I'll post a few pictures once they upload to my computer but that may take a few minutes

Ahhhh congrats!! They’re so cute and tiny! I’m trying my first ever attempt at hatching anything...and I saw three quail eggs with a pip tonight! It will be 17 days tomorrow! Fingers crossed!
