aquarium heaters and nipple waterers?

I'll get some pictures up over the weekend...but I use the cheapest aquarium heater they had at Walmart ($13?) and no thermocube. I believe the heater is designed to make the water about 75 degrees, which is way overkill. But it did keep things liquid when we had sub-zero nights. The only thing to be aware of with aquarium heaters is that you must keep them submerged in water so they don't burn out. So in my case I have to bring out a gallon or two of water each day. And then just stick the aquarium heater to the bottom of the bucket.
