Arabian Horse Thread....picture heavy

Lovely mare! Not familiar with her pedigree except the Morafic line. My mare is straight Egyptian so if I go back a ways on her pedigree I do know some of the lines there too.
You're very lucky

I am like you, I am owned by one beautiful mare. I'm taking my mare, HF Macarena, to Ohio this spring to be bred to Kahiil. The plan is for April. Macarena was foaled in 1995 and this will be her first, reg Arabian foal. Previously, she's only had 3 foals, 2 Friesian crosses before I owned her and the half Arabian Pony filly by my stallion.

This is my Brio (Starlight Express). She was a National Show Horse, just had to put her down this past fall.

She was in her mid 20's. I bought her when she had just turned four, so we had a good run together. Years ago I showed her in dressage. She competed very successfully with me through 2nd level, then with another amateur at 3rd level. The second photo is Brio with her only foal Fly Boy. I still own Fly but right now he is about an hour away at a very active barn being ridden by a great group of young riders. Like most Arabians she was a very sensitive mare - a horse you ride more with your mind than your body.

Here we are at counter canter:

Here's a mare I used to have. Her registered named was CM Calypso Magic (not sure if her name was spelled with an I or Y) but we called her Pixey. We never got her papers cuz with them she would have been $400 & we didn't need them, but supposedly she went back to either Bask or Aladdin (sp?) or both. She was my 2nd horse & a gal we met @ petsmart gave her to us cuz she couldn't show her anymore (something about getting caught in wire and not being able to show her anymore cuz of the scars) and she had a bunch of younger horses that needed work. When I got her she was 17 or so and she was a great horse. I loved loping & running her lol but even her slower gaits were nice & smooth. I had her for about a year before she went lame because the guy who cleans our stalls kept leaving the feed stall open xP & she got lamenitis. We retired her & gave her to a guy in Angelfire where he had a bunch of open range to run on that she loved. No ones sure how she died, but one day, 2years later, they just found her lying next to a fence, so their guessing she ran into it but I'm not so sure. R.I.P Pixey you were an awesome horse and even though sometimes I was kinda nervous to ride you, you took real good care of me
