Hi,
I was needing helping telling the breed of my chicks. I am supposed to have two lavender Araucana chicks but their was a chance that one was a Orpington. The chicks are all between 2-3 weeks old. Though the chick in the first photo will be about a week older than the chick in the second photo.

Hi from NZ! Our araucanas are different to the American ones (they are referred to as 'English Araucanas'. One looks to have a straight comb and is grey all over which would point to it being an Orpington chick. Our araucanas have pea combs, so if that first baby looks to have a pea comb it will be an araucana.

First one has yellow legs? It can't be either breed with yellow legs. What is it's comb type? Does it have muffs?

Second chick appears to have a single comb so could be an Orpington.
