Aracaunas, EE's, or Ameracauna?

Considering that the lady keeps mixed pens, she most likely doesn't have a strict enough breeding plan to be able to claim Araucanas. They are most likely little Easter Eggers, which are adorable and hilarious birds.

I do not agree that Araucanas have to be rumpless. From what I understand, it's a gene that behaves similarily to the one that folds the ears of Scottish Fold cats. Some have it, some don't and are carriers. It is possible that the lady who sold you the birds gave you ones with tails under the false assumption that they are undesirable, but unlikely as most breeders know that the tailed ones are essential to a healthy breeding program (I believe the genes are lethal if not properly balanced).

At any rate, throw yourself a parade, you have some adorable EEs! I am planning on getting more myself, what a wonderful breed!

Edit: After some research, I've discovered that actually it's the tufts that are the lethal gene that needs to be balanced. However, the rumpless gene is noted to decrease fertility. whew, genetics are complicated!
