Thanks! I really like bluey and will most likely add more blues. Blue is not a recognized color in standard araucana, but once it gets added, I'll be one step ahead. LOL She is not very friendly, but I love her color and her spunkiness.

In the mixed flock there are a bunch of tufted black hens too, but I didn't post their pics because they are in moult and look funny right now. You can see some in the background, but their double tufts are just awesome, like Holly's. I also have a BBR colored rumpless hen that is not pictured. It's so hard to get them all. And the white flock has lots more hens too, but they were outside.

If you start breeding for blue or will be breeding any BBR I would be VERY interested in some hatching eggs.

I have a Washington address also.

Sara - I'm so glad you got to see this. Yes, bluey is your little girl's mommy.

I don't plan to breed BBR, but blue is definitely a possibility. DH tells me I have to slow down on the chicken craze..so now I am working on Lavender Orps and he says that's it for a while.

I will keep you posted on my blues.

kstaven - there are breeders who have blue that are closer to Washington. Send me a pm if you need names or you could check at the araucana club.
