Araucana thread anyone?

Hmmm, I don't know. Definitely not pure. The first one appears to have a straight comb in addition to the feathered legs.

I was afraid of that. Guess I won't be getting any of these. I want to breed in the near future, and don't want to muddle the breed.

I worked at a farm last year and my boss sold Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas. Also when she had an open house she put an Easter Egger cockerel in a rabbit hutch and clear a sign that said it was an Aracana (Araucana).

This is Looloo, she is very inquisitive. She comes up to me and starts making noises and wants to be petted. Looloo enjoying herself in some of my new plants. My rescue Frizzle Bantam hen Jane loves laying in the sun. I got her from the farm I worked at and she was in a dusty horse stall with 2 large fowl cockerels.

I held my tongue. It grated on my nerves so much the way she treated the birds. She had 1 true Ameraucana that she was supposedly babysitting and she would sell a dozen Ameraucana eggs as Araucana eggs.

You would not believe the conditions these chickens had to live in for the mostly short period of time they were at her farm until unsuspecting owners came to buy them.
