Araucana thread anyone?

I had to assist in TWO hatches today. The first one was so stressful. The chick is okay, though. The membrane had started to shrink wrap around it. The second assist I thought went easier, but that chick doesn't look too good. Fingers crossed he/she will be okay.
This may sound crazy, but the first chick I assisted acts like it knows what I did. It stared at me and followed me around the incubator window, and I just put it in the brooder and its trying to come through the bars to get to me. He/she lets me rub her chest. Its a blue from Buck and BB.

Aww what a sweetheart! The first week I had my rescued Frizzle Bantam hen I had fallen asleep on the couch with her and she snuggled up with me. Chickens are much smarter than people give them credit for.
