Is this from your hen who's eating her own eggs? Guess you caught her in time today.......... good thing too, that's a beautiful egg. The same thing surprised me about my own banty Araucana hens - the gigantic blue eggs they lay! The fertile Araucana bantam eggs that I ordered for the incubator were teensey compared to what I get from my girls, so I guess this trait is line specific.

I am so jealous right now.

don't be, he went to a new home. I have a knack for only hatching roos it seems most of the time, would have kept him if he had a girl.... It was a toss up between him and a lav split triple tufted rumpless roo, guess who won...

Are you serious? That chick turned into that cockerel? Wow, I'd think the chick looks splash cuckoo or something. . . I've got quite a few chicks who look like that third pic, wonder if they'll also go against my estimates and turn that tri-color splash look.

Gary ended up with a whole pen that looked like this and I wanted to get more but never got around to it....he had posted a pic of them

Yeah, I believe I have the luck of receiving a breeding pair of his cuckoos. As for that splashy color, I know he was mainly working with splash and cuckoo, they're quite neat. I LOVE the rooster in that photo of his with the barred girls and splash boy. I sure hope my best tufted splash turns out like him!
