Araucana thread anyone?

I know we've talked leg color a million times, but i'm having challenges this year. so as per SOP, blacks should have willow-black, bbr & duckwings are willow, whites are to be yellow...

My cock is very definitely green legged. I will have to look at his 1 hen again, but i thought she was green as well, and the other 2 are blue and black so black legged.

I was looking in my grow out pen and I saw only about half had proper leg coloring, the others looked to have a dusky color. not blue, but not green either...

Does green hide other colors?

Also how does one get yellow legs on a white? mine have green lol
bump?

Syble,
It's been discussed but I know how hard it is to go back through tons of pages to find a needle in a haystack. You can always just do a simple search for leg color genetics

I listed several locations you could have found with a simple search, some articles are more and some are less technical so there should be something helpful here

Most do, but when breeders pay no attention to correct color crosses, it happens. My first flock is a good example. The guy I got most of mine from didn't do anything but turn them all out together, every color. SO, it's taken years to correct. They were pretty decent birds, just really messed up breeding practice

Here is my 2nd lavender araucana (also probably a cockerel

A few pics of Ari today, his colors are getting pretty, I think anyway. His tufts look loop sided, they are both big but some of his mates are jealous of his beauty.
