Araucana thread anyone?

I forget how quickly they change. Mine are 18 weeks old now and my boy is really showing his colors as well as an attitude. He is fine with us but is prone to sneak attacks on the girls and my hens are not fond of his approach so he is getting schooled by the ladies.

A few pics of Ari today, his colors are getting pretty, I think anyway. His tufts look loop sided, they are both big but some of his mates are jealous of his beauty.
I think he's beautiful! I'm so partial to mahogany and black colors together. He's going to be amazing when he's grown. And I honestly don't think you'll have a problem having 2 roos together.

I routinely keep 2 and even 3 roosters in the same pen without issues. I don't even see them fussing when a hen is bred. If there are enough hens for the number of roosters, then it's generally fine

I have found that my Araucana roosters get along much better than my other breeds. They rarely fight.

My boy has decided to terrorize one of my docile Salmon Favorelle boys. Ari just runs him all over the pasture. I wish Icee would turn around and put Ari in his place. He is alot bigger and could certainly do so but would rather just run away.

You have to be careful with those Favs. I ended up re homing my Favs because my very sweet gentle Araucana roo was terrorizing my Fav hens. He is normally a total gentleman to all the ladies. For some reason he could not stand my Favs.
