Araucana thread anyone?

Here is what I think is the culprit.

I can't blame the hens because if it was one of them then the others should give me Lav
He would be my guess also based on the color of his shoulders, but WOW is he stunning. I don't care for the lavender color but I may change my mind.

I had some chicks hatch out yellow, well here is 1

Wheaten based for sure but it has something else going on. Too light in the head and neck, and too dark in the chest and body to be correct. Is this coming out of your birds? What do the parents look like.

He's beautiful! My lavender hens (Orps) look so ratty now, pre-molt, I was forgetting why I wanted the color!

I was thinking yesterday that if all his progeny have the leakage, then he'd have to be e+/e+ bl/bl lav/lav, but I'm not sure what that would look like.

I'm officially stumped about the black color in the progeny.

This chick is about 2 months. I know there is wheaten in there. I believe that is where the light colored face is coming from. There is barring in the wings.
The hen has a light colored face.

The roo is a yellow blue duckwing

I need for you to sell me the light hen. I had one just like her and she died. If she is available let me know how much. If not, will begging work.

Just hatched my last chicks of the season. Three eggs of six that were gathered before everyone went on molt-strike (and an egg eater caught with egg on her face) hatched today. I just slipped them out underneath a broody hen. I sure do like letting broodies work their magic with raising chicks. The chicks are more aloof, but they learn the ways of chickenhood quickly from their mothers.
