Araucana thread anyone?

Well it hatched from a blue green egg is that helps

Cream legbars, ameracaunas, easter eggers, and aracaunas can all lay the blue eggs. And I've learned today it also depends on where in the world you are as to what breed it may be.

Does trimming the rumpless' tail feathers (or lack of) help them breed themselves? I can do the medicine syringe method, but if I can do a little less aiding to nature it would be fine by me.

Araucanas are very rare. EEs are very common. If the person you got the hatching eggs from is not a true Araucana breeder then you most likely have an EE.

There is a thread for them--EE Braggers or something similar.

You do have a very cute chick!

It was more likely an EE(Easter Egger). I do not see araucana--tufts or etc.

You will know more as the chick grows.

Agreed, look for tail feathers. American Araucanas are rumpless, though a rumpless bird isn't necessarily proof of breed.

I was just wondering because the lady who offered them on the swap page said Araucana but when I asked why four of the eggs are blue and 6 green she got upset

But since y'all are talking about necked necks I have a question... I resently got (in a swap) about four "top hats" I guess they are necked necks x silkies as claimed by the swapper I heard they could also be necked necks or polish.. But do they do well in Indiana?
