Araucana thread anyone?

wow! I missed a lot there!
@Brahma Chicken5000 I didn't see the pic of the conditions, but I've read about that kind of thing from somebody down in Texas. And I hate when people pull the wool over on somebody about the breeds.. Especially since people assume that they know what they're talking about. Which, they do... they're just lying.

So sweet about the little baby, @Trish1974

And... @RinaRoo yea, those babies looks suspect. Hopefully they're araucana mixes and can give you some nice eggs... but that basically means they're EE. I have an araucana mixed with an ameraucana. She's was a breeder oops. Looks just like a little black ameraucana, enough I could pass her off, but I know she's not.

Good morning everyone. I think my hatch is done. Nine live chicks out of 35 eggs (ugh!) and one died during zipping. The last 3 I had to assist out of the shell. The last one at 5:30 this morning. The last 2 are still kind of wet, but I do not think ANYONE is tufted! That's some pretty crappy odds when all chicks had at least one tufted parent.
The last 3 are still in the incubator, I am going to give them to Bonita tonight.

9 chicks out of 35 eggs? :th
How many did you set from your flock and how many of them hatched? Also how many willow acre eggs did you set and how many hatched?
Sorry, 34 made it to lockdown not 35.
I don't remember the original set, but 10 of Bluebell's and 9 of Mama's made it to lockdown, and 15 Willow Acres eggs. Of that, I hatched 2 Mama, 3 Bluebell and 4 Willow Acres eggs. At lockdown, there were at least 32 of those alive and kicking. But remember, my air cells were t0o small so that is where I lay the blame. I may return that incubator (its still under warranty) because the last 3 I had to assist was because their membranes started to dry and shrink wrap, and the humidity guage said it was at least 60%.
Oh, and NO cuckoos hatched...which is what I wanted to begin with! All the WA eggs that hatch were blue and splash (at least no blacks).
