I'd like to leave her in with Blue; at least until I get a Mini-Blue to hatch. I want another male just like him for back up!You could put the clean faced Blue Araucana hen in with Cholo and see if her eggs are fertile.
I think all 5 chicks that survived my first hatch are male
. All but one are showing red in their combs and wattles already except for one... and that one is frickin' huge! Its a Willow Acres baby, the first egg that hatched that I named Uno. He has a chest on him like a Cornish X! I wasn't going to keep any clean faced males, but between his size and his color I think I will keep him. I'm pretty sure he'll be blue, but he's a light blue. Almost silvery. I have no experience with splash birds so maybe he'll be splash?
