Ugh, I am so disappointed. I just saw this in MJ's newly sprouted saddle feathers:

WTH?? Neither Manolito or Mama, or ANY of the other Araucanas for that matter have this red leakage!! What's really weird is how bright red it is. That photo is not enhanced.
Of all the cockerels it had to be him! :rolleyes:
He may molt it our next year. I would hold on to him still.
How’s his Mottling coming along?
 
@Frazzemrat1 did you hear back from anyone regarding eggs?

I haven't heard anything. I'm thinking about going back to Ann Horsman once we get a little further in to Sept, for the started ones.

OH NO!!!! HUGS!!! I hope they molt out and don't come back, like @Brahma Chicken5000 said!

please don't discard him. breed him to the darkest hens and be patient. breeding is an art and hard work. it takes years to get good results.

Oh I won't. I will be keeping him. I'm just more confused on where it came from. Neither of his parents or any other Araucanas from the breeder have that stray color in them. Or any leakage for that matter.
