Araucana thread anyone?

4 week pics of the babies. Some of them are definitely tufted. I don't think they are true auto-sexing now. There's at least 2 that are pinkining up already in their combs. In one of these pics you can see one of them just over the edge of the brooder box.

NONE of my mature (Araucana) hens are laying yet! :barnie I wanted to have breeding pens set up by the end of the month but it isn't looking too good. Plus I need to get Tim moved out of his family flock. Manolito won't even let Tim tidbit to the girls, let alone drop a wing on anyone. Poor Tim spends most his day alone, away from the flock. The state show is in mid October and I really wanted a mass hatch by early April in hopes of having a show prospect in there. I at least wish Lucy would start laying; because my most beautiful chicks and best tufts come from her and Triton (the triple tufted cock).

Okay, got pics of the possible cockerels. What do you all think?

What are the odds of actually hatching eggs that are mailed? Just wondering if it will be worth attempting.
I think it's worth a shot. I ordered eggs from Ohio last year and hatched 6 out of 14. Eggs from my stock didn't do much better (in an incubator, but hatch like crazy under broody hens). The less traveling they do, the better.
