Well he's home now. This is the best I could get of his comb for now. He's in isolation to make sure he's healthy.

The comb is definitely not straight.

he is gorgeous! my lucky guess he is mixed colours. he looks like 2nd generation isa brown where they are no more sex link.

It's so interesting, he has red and brown on his neck and back, white tipped wings and some gray on the bottom half.

Well I have more information now, and now I know why he looks so different. The breeder Bob Morgan got his breeding stock from Edd.

I saw that on FB. My very first rooster Cholo is from Edd's line. His comb is too tall and he's short backed but he's gorgeous and is the calmest, sweetest, gentlest bird I have.

I set 22 eggs in the incubator... 2 are fertile.

Well it happened. He attacked my one child who animals love. So I had hubby kill him and I processed him for stew.

We tried working with him to make him more docile but once he drew blood on my kid, that's a no go.

I'm pretty sure I accidentally ruptured the poop intestine aka large intestine. Will he be safe for human consumption still? I rinsed well and now is in freezer.
