I know you wanted nothing but to aid and I think that she needed to know that per her photos she was not selling what the Standard of Perfection describes as Araucanas - the more people who know and understand this the better, absolutely. At this point I'm just saying that it has gone public on this forum and we have to assume that her comments are now in reference to far and away more than the dialogue that we were shown between the two of you and some of it will have been heartless.
I am ALL for honest marketing and knowing what we are selling. You are SO right when you say that calling her birds a mix will affect her sales. I have people who read my Easter Egger section of my web site and then go to the hatcheries because they are looking for Ameraucanas to buy. I get so tired of trying to explain that they may call them Ameraucanas but they are not. I loose so many sales from people because of my honesty. Which is alright by me - the only way to change that is to keep plugging away at the truth. The thing that does bother me is when i get laid into by an Ameraucana breeder for the way I advertise my Easter Eggers. Sometimes there is just no winning.
I have a double tufted rumpless roo chick that hatched a couple of weeks ago and am waiting to see if there is any leakage. Now that I sold my 1 roo, I will probably want to keep this one even though I said no more blues. I swear I change my mind every 2 second.
That was cool. I wondered if I would get no noed for using a swear word, which it the correct word in the saying and when I posted it, it was automatically changed.
So for those who may wonder. Yes I know what the saying says. I wish it would make corrections for my spelling. Just know that every time you see I have edited my pages, its for the spelling errors I have noticed. I apologize for the ones I don't.

Thanks! Sadly some tuft jealousy occurred and they aren't nearly as glorious now. Seems like that happens to everyone who has a bird with great tufts?
Araucana hens can be so jealous at times. So far since everyones molt here they have managed to keep their tufts, although a few of the pullets tufts are so huge they keep dragging them in the mud and they don't look pretty anyway.

Ha ha! I had the same thing happen to me once and it's oddly spooky - like someone is out there and obsessed about our each and every word exchanged here on this forum.
The blues are doing great - the one girl did at last begin laying and I always know which eggs are her's because they are the one's laid in the most obscure and inconvenient non-nesting box spots in the coop. Oh, and they are a very pretty light blue/green color. The roo, Lushion, is still a handsome pain in the behind. I am quite literally counting down the days until I can get the Araucanas into breeding pens and see what I can get out of these guys.
Quote: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/11270_imag0188.jpg this is crazy but I thought about switching my Yokohama roo and putting him over my tailless araucana, and the araucana roo over the yoko hens. If I got tailless offspring breed together to lengthen the hackle and saddle feathers only. Now I know it would totally screw up egg color, but it just one of my crazy experiments.the roo pictured is still in blood feather meaning his tail is still growing.
Fantastic bird. I would LOVE something like this running around my yard.
