Araucana thread anyone?

I've had mixed results with foam shipped hatching eggs. due to araucanas rounder nature, I found a lot of them ended up flipping in the cell. so although the eggs looked fine there were a lot of ruptured air cells. I think I've had eggs shipped pretty much every way to me, but the most successful has been eggs wrapped and then oriented correctly in a carton that has been well padded and secured in a good sized box. This is just my experience though.

Oh, I agree there. I actually told Coberdor that cartons are in a tie of the two best methods. Although it sounds unreal to people who have never tried it or had it shipped to them that way, packing eggs nicely into secure cartons really does work.

Mine aren't too small for foam inserts though. (at least, I don't think they are. I could very easily be told otherwise by someone though) I try my best not to sell pullet eggs, but of some that I have shipped, they were usually Cuckoo based and those girls lay some big eggs!

Farmer boy, if your eggs are shot, I can send you more. I still won't have my bator back until the end of the month. Since the one pen are pullets and I don't have them separated into their color pens yet, I won't sell them. Just let me know as soon as you can if they are cooked and I'll save some more up for you. I'd rather see them in bators than in my fry pan.

They arrived in great condition. No cracked or broken eggs. I love the large blue eggs. They are going into the bator today. Here is good hatching vibes going out to everyone. Good luck.

I set my eggs from Carmel ( cobredor) yesterday also. I set a total of 34 eggs, with 12 being from Carmel. I took a picture of how pretty they all were in my new pink egg trays. I will post a pic later.
