Araucana thread anyone?

I am sick that my favorite chickens had to meet their demise in such a horrific battle for their lives. But in church today, we had a missionary and he talked about "when God takes away, its usually to give something better." So I a really excited to see where I am going with my new Araucanas and my blue marans. This is going to be a fun ride.

" And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
So true. Im sorry for your loss. You are right to trust in Him. I love your positive attitude

Exactly Henne. I love these birds already. On the way home, we had them in a small dog crate, resting on a suitcase almost between the seats. I was so impressed with how quiet they were. I took the mottled one out and held it to my chest for a quite a few miles. Fearful at first but it slowly settled in and nestled close to my chest. They have the kindest eyes too.

Laura877, so sorry to hear of your losses. We have only lost two in the last two years: one to a hawk and a chick to a 6ft snake.. For us ours are pets and everyloss hurts. I can imagine how sad you must be but I too appreciate your positive attitude.

On another note. Does anyone have pics of adult Black Breasted Reds you could post? I saw the parents to mine, but that was in March and I would like a visual to compare mine to. thanks.

Thanks! I begged the guy for him and the BR hen over the course of several months. I guess he got tired of my pleading ;-)
I had asked recently and no one answered-how do I get that BR/Birchen color of pullet? I'd love some more like her.
