Araucana thread anyone?

Interesting, I don't see "mauve" but the color is pretty, it probably reads better in person, the camera and computer monitor can play tricks w/ colors. Good luck w/ yours.
It's just the name that was given to this cross. Looking at the older chicks in the sun, there is definitely a purplish mauve cast to the darker feathering on the back that borders on burgundy. I don't know if my Araucana cross chicks will be exactly like the one on the European web site when mature. Could be a little different and I am seeing a little difference in the chick down so it's going to be fun to see them grow up. As "always" I can't wait for spring

So my Araucana flock is settled for the year with the birds I hope to get eggs from this spring. I gave three girls, two hens and one pullet, who were in the brown/duckwing spectrum to a Michigander to help with her flock. What I have left is:

Splash rooster and blue cockerel, both double tufted and rumpless
1 Cuckoo hen - a favorite girl!
1 Black hen
2 Black Pullets
1 Mottled Pullet
4 Blue Pullets!
1 Blue -ish? Pullet. Will be pictured
1 Barred something, double tufted and rumpless, so I am waiting it out. Color looks to be male, but all other features scream pullet at the moment. Time will tell.

Pictures are from 9/25/12, so they're a little out of date.

Dunno what she is

But she is a doll!

See the red on the wings, and a little red on the tuft? Still acting like a pullet though.

Pullet is my guess

Here are all of my Araucanas in my flock. They're my group for the 2013 breeding season. Hopefully I can get reliable fertility, then maybe I can offer some hatching eggs.

Pullet # 1, blue, tufted, rumpless.

Same, side view

Pullet # 2, was mottled, but solid black now. Tufted and rumpless.

Same, side view.

Unknown colored. "Pullet" but probably a cockerel.

Pullet # 3, blue, tufted, tailed.

Same, side view

Pullet # 4. Blue-ish, tufted, rumpless. More updated picture.

Same, front view

Pullet # 5. Blue, tufted, tailed.

Same, head pic

Pullet # 6, blue, rumpless, and cleanfaced.

Same bird, up close.

Pullet # 7. Black, cleanfaced, rumpless. Rudimentary tail feathers.

Blue cockerel, rumpless and double tufted. Pullet # 8, black, rumpless, and cleanfaced.

My splash rooster! Love him. Rumpless and tufted.

He hasn't started his molt yet, but I bet it will take care of some of the sun induced yellowing.

My lil cuckoo hen! Rumpless and little tufts.

See? Very tiny!

My black/birchen-ish hen. Rumpless, has one massive tuft!

Side picture.

I have a feather color question, or 3. The female version of black breasted red is a wild type color pattern w/ browns and reds right??? The boy in question.

So if you cross a male bbr w/ a female red colored bird (solid red w/o patterning) the female offspring will be the wild type but maybe have more red then normal wild type right?

If you cross that same male w/ a black hen the female offspring will be wild type but darker having more brown or black then red right??

If you cross that same male w/ a white hen w/ black and brown splotches what would you get from that for the female offspring??

None of the hens in question are araucana, but the male is, and I am just asking about feather color/pattern.
