The title kinda explains the main question of this post, which probably is a silly one. Are all Silkies bantams? I have a mixed flock and my one silkie pullet is not THAT MUCH smaller than the maran or the cochin pullet. Of course, I'm sure they are all still maturing. And I suppose that leads to my next question- how much smaller are bantams than regular hens? I have a huge chicken yard and keep the birds mostly for eggs, so I'm not really interested in small chickens, but I bought a silkie when I was overcome by cuteness and I want to know what to expect!
