Are any of these hens Roosters???

For the most part I would say that the eggs that I get are lg to extra large. However 2 weeks ago I had an egg in the nesting box that was the biggest egg I have ever seen.

I guess she's a hen, she just looks kind of funky to me. Do you want to post pics of your other birds, or are you pretty positive they're hens?

I posted pictures of the 3 I thought were in question but I will take pictures of the other 2 and post them so we are sure.. They both look similar to the other red one but with less white.

Well if they're froma hatchery, and have some red and white they should be red sex links and thus should be hens.........are you sure it's crowing?

Now that you mention where you got them, You got sex links, meaning they're hens. The body is definitely a female body shape and color. That is one big comb and wattles for a hen though!

As for your question about the wyandotte laying, I have a chick that was hatched April 9th and just started laying last weekend. I have had girls not start laying until 38 weeks of age. She should be laying around 26-30 weeks old. But it can take longer! Have fun with your girls.

Thanks for all the help! I guess from what you guys have said I just have a late bloomer and she should start laying soon. I am not sure the noise is crowing, it's just different from the normal clucking... More of a long screech and maybe it's just their way of telling me they want out in the morning. I'm happy to hear they are hens because it would kill my daughter if we had to part with one. I will post pictures of the other two when I get to my computer, for some reason I can't figure out how to do it from my phone.. Maybe I can catch a video of the noise in the morning.
