Are chicks at your store yet?

Hey all you Sacramento area folks, Bradshaw Feed gets at least 15 different kinds every Thursday.
I believe they get from both MM and Ideal, but Ideal for sure.
They also get pheasant, quail, turkeys, guinnies, basically any kinda fowl-type game-ish bird you could want.

Im going tomoro to get some more ameracanas, a small flock of cornishx, and some turkeys for a friend.

Every Thursday!

I go to that feed store on Greenback to get feed, and I know Bradshaw is way down there, but trust me, there is NO comparison.
I would liken it to going to a commercial hatcheries "showroom".

FWIW, I went to Western just this last weekend, and they couldnt even produce a bale of pine shavings . . . had to go to Petco for $10 cause I needed it.

Warden, you GOTTA know about Bradshaw . . . ?

Orscheln's in Louisburg, Kansas, had their first shipment of chicks today. Just a few RIR, Polish, and 'Rainbow Layers' (so glad to NOT see them called Ameraucanas!) More expected soon. I refrained from buying any, though, since my own eggs are pipping as we speak!

Yes chicks , ducks and geese are at my feed store. DH went for feed and brought hom a baby goose and a baby pekin duck... he is just as bad as I am. we are in trouble

The Atwoods in Clinton, OK has had chicks for about a week or so. (funny story: My brother-in-law and I brought some chicks home for the first time, and showed his kid, they loved them. Well his is the Pastor of a church here in Weatherford, Ok and when we went to church last night he was telling people; "My daddy went to the store to pick up chicks and then he brought them home." Just image how that sounds to people that don't have a lot of dealings with chickens.)

that's a funny child!

The locally-owned feed store has had them for a few weeks now, but not until April for Tractor Supply. There's no minimum at the feed store so I broke down and bought a white leghorn and a BO, to add to the 11 chicks I already have. I have to stop there today,

I'll try to show self restraint.

Bradshaw is MY feed store! You betcha! They even get ducklings..... They also get chicks from Belt Hatchery, btw. I only go to Western if I discover I need something RIGHT NOW and I can't get to Bradshaw by closing time (6 PM). I work in Sac and live in West Sac.... There simply is NO comparison.

Bradshaw is definately the place to go for chicks.

They got 100 americanas in this morning, I called at 11am to ask about them.
By the time I called, they had only 25 left . . .

I had to practically beg the guy to reserve me just 4 for after work, he finally relented and I got my chickies.

I walked out of there today with 4 americana, 4 welsumer, 4 turkeys, 10 cornishx, and 3 bags of feed(w/ 2 feeders), all for less then $75

We have one feedstore that has chicks year round the other more convientant one (for me anyway) got some in last week and will have them till june.
