Can be same thread, one bird with multiple symptoms/issues.No, they were asking about the feet. I mean start a thread about a chick that’s acting lethargic and weak.

I think it was shipping, it seems almost every time I get from here at least one dies, sometimes not but so far I’ve had 6 die I think one was pasty butt but the others were shipping I believe and yes it’s colder hereCan be same thread, one bird with multiple symptoms/issues.
Yep, pretty common to lose a few shipped chicks. 6 out of 40 is not unprecedented.I think it was shipping, it seems almost every time I get from here at least one dies, sometimes not but so far I’ve had 6 die I think one was pasty butt but the others were shipping I believe and yes it’s colder here
This is my first time but I’ve done a lot of research and so far so good besides the 6 , and I believe that’s a salmon faverolle, and I got a bunch of different kinds I wanted a variety , ive had chickens before but never raised chicks so I got a varietyYep, pretty common to lose a few shipped chicks. 6 out of 40 is not unprecedented.
I assume you have experience brooding chicks.
What breeds?
Wonders of those feet are a weird anomaly or a breed normality.
There is one breed with feathered legs and 5 toes.....canNOT remember the name tho.

That's the one!!salmon faverolle
Hopefully you have lots of space(40 chicks is a lot!) and good heating setup. This is my first time but I’ve done a lot of research and so far so good
I’ve been meaning to take a pic but I have one big brooder and a smaller brooder which is still fairly large and I keep the older ones in the smaller one cause I have fewer and I was afraid the bigger chicks were killing the bantaman by not letting them eat (someone suggested that) so in my big brooder I divided it so that the smaller ones were on one side and the big ones were on the other , my heat is constantly around 100 but they have plenty of room to move closer or farther if they need to so they don’t get too hotThose look about right for Salmon Faverolle feet.
For shipping stress I would offer all of them water with Nutri-Drench, or an electrolyte mix like Sav-a-Chick.
Any photos of your set up? Are they all in one brooder? Do you happen to know how hot the warmer area is, and how cool the cooler area is?
I’ve gotten chicks a few different times from there, I got some almost a month ago but I didn’t realize until a couple weeks ago that I was going to be building a bigger coop so I got a lot more then I just went back and they have a few breeds that I just had to get, so yeah lol that’s why some are different agesDidn’t you say in the other thread that you got them from the feed store that they were shipped too when they were about a week old?
