Just wondering how :> I've already hanged some fly traps and its working great but there's still some that I find on the spilled chicken crumbles

They can be a problem if one of the chickens gets injured and has an open wound. They will quickly lay their eggs in the wound and the larvae will eat the flesh (that's called fly strike). So be sure to check over your chickens regularly and be ready to prevent fly strike.

In dry conditions with dry bedding the poop does not retain enough moisture for the fly larvae to develop and you will not have a fly problem unless they are coming in from elsewhere.
