Hi I’ve recently got a young cockerel, he has been doing his dance to the ladies but all but one just keep running from him but all
Squat if I go near them. Are they rejecting
Him or do they just need more
Time? This is my first cockerel so not sure what to expect thanks

Hens don't just accept a youngster like that, he has to prove himself by providing treats, leading them to feed and water, warning from predators, preparing and showing them the best nest boxes etc. Allthewhile being friendly and respectful.

Most hens, even ones used to being mated, avoid roosters and cockerels.

How old is he, in months....and the rest of your birds?
How long have you had him?
Does he chase them down or let them run away?

He hatched late summer last year, rest of my girls range from 1-2 years, had him about 3 weeks, only one hen is letting him mate, the others just run and he lets them go

That sounds perfectly normal...and a good cockbird.
It's good that he's letting the uninterested ones go.
Just give it time.
