Are people really this ignorant about chicken biology?

Anyone who's just started on this thread, please be SURE to read post #80 and post #114 Lack of knowledge on a particular subject does not denote stupidity. Refusal to obtain knowledge CAN denote stupidity, or it can also just indicate that a person has no interest whatsoever in a particular topic or field of study. Stupidity is more of a refusal to learn or accept facts than a lack of knowledge. Knowledge can be obtained. Sadly, some people prefer to be stupid. We all have areas of knowledge and expertise that may differ from someone else's, and we can share exchange knowledge and ideas and gain some more and different information in the process. That's what makes this forum so great.

The truth is, everyone is very knowlegable about SOMETHING in life, you don't have to know everything...and why the heck would anyone who has no interest in chickens want to know anything about them, really? They know where eggs come from in thier lives...the grocery store of course, and really at this point, that is all they need to know about chickens

PC=Politically Correct.

It's not about being "PC", it's about being nice. It's about not judging others just because maybe we know some little 'not very important' bit of information they don't.
It's about letting others live thier lives in thier way without calling them stupid for it.
