to explain what i asked in trying to ask if i should keep a rooster that attempts some sort of "mating dance" (where it does a skipping motion while drooping one wing). My barred cokerel has been doing that to my older black australorp ALOT! While my deleware cockerel just goes all in by force. Are roosters that dance to hens nicer to them Or not?

The hen herself, 2 years old i believe, before the cockerel learned to dance, she scared the crap out of him! But now, she mostly walks away from him

They certaintly do, the 2 cockerels are almost sbout 6 months
Both birds will change behaviors. The wing cutting dance is more what call a display of aggression. The target can be submissive and run, submissive and cut back behind the rooster, or square off for fight. The tid-bitting behavior where food items are advertised (sometimes falsely) is done to attract a potential mate or provide genuine sustenance. Later is for hens the rooster has already been mating with rooster and immature birds the rooster is likely to consider his offspring.

I think that dancing roosters are nicer to the hens. They are asking permission.....
Usually they also will give up a treat to the hens rather than eat it themselves. This is what I have seen.
Does your forceful rooster offer up treats to the girls?

My cockerel (six months old) tidbits and will even take treats from my hand and pass them on to one of the girls. I have never seem him dance. When he mates, he just sort of pounces on one of them -- not roughly at all! -- and then walks away after. They don't seem to mind his technique.

I pretty sure he doesn't
