Young rooster

Hello. I have a 5 month old Rooster & 6 hens. (Different breeds)
This is my first time have chickens and I'm not sure what to do.
The rooster is very enthusiastic about mating. He does the little dance, chases the hens, and will pull their feathers.. They don't want to leave the Coop because their scared of him.

Does anyone have advice for what I should or could do to help the situation?

Seperate him until they're more receptive and he cools off

Separate him from them till his hormones calms down. During this stage they can be terrors. It's just his process of growing up.

How long do we separate them?
I have a 6 month rooster chasing and mating with 2 older hens.
Just curious? He is a beautiful Americana, he isn't doing the dance yet. I can separate him if need be. He doesn't chase my 4 year Olds or the 8 month Olds. I have 12 hens and one young rooster. If the hens challenge him he runs away. He is afraid of us which is good. So I won't give up on him unless he shows aggressive behavior to people.

If he's not doing damage to the hens, just leave him with them. But if you hear your hens screaming remove him.

They usually calm down at a 1 1/2 years old.
