are seagulls ducks?

Okay, i know this is kind of a dumb question, but they have webby feet, and swim and fly... does anyone raise seagulls? People raise pigeons....

No, gulls are their own bird species. I believe they would fall into the area of "wild" creature that you can't keep legally.

They are incredibly messy, loud, and need to fly. Pretty, but I can't imagine they'd be that fun.

We call them "dump ducks" but they are not ducks. They scavenge at the dump, trash barrels, and any other gross place they find.
