Are some senses of humor just a little too...macabre?

Even prior to the recent event in my life, I always had a bit of a dark sense of humor.

Our dog is incredibly healthy despite her age and I always called her a "record settin' dog" and used to tease DH that she would outlive him ... and I would have given anything not to have been proven right.

I grew up surrounded by cops and now I'm an EMT. I've always had a very dark sense of humor. I got it from my dad!

It's difficult sometimes. Not everyone can understand why I may giggle after passing an automobile accident. If I didn't ahve a sense of humor about things, I would spend my life in a corner curled up in a little ball!

As a retired police officer, I can attest to that fact. It doesn't get any better after retirement either.

ROFL, I think it gets worse, actually.

I concur!!! lol

Sounds like he needs attention. Maybe he wants to interact with adults and can't get adults to listen to him. That age between being a kid and becoming an adult is very difficult. Depending on how he was raised some of that behavior was probably strictly taboo when he was growing up. Now he can use it and not get whacked up side the head.

When I was 23 I had a coworker that was a good friend. One day for lunch she wants to cruise the local graveyard. We stop at the funeral home and she wants to go inside. So I go with her. She proceeds to take a tour of the different viewing rooms. There were 3. I had never seen a dead person before and of course I was dismayed that she just walked into viewing rooms of total strangers. I thought we would get in trouble. It was weird to say the least.

I love a dark sense of humor.

I think example number two just needs to be smacked a few thousand times with the manners stick. He probably thinks he sounds worldly and sophisticated instead of juvenile and rude.

Hey, I do that too!

welsummerchicks, those kids are just being immature. Smack 'em around a little bit, and they'll be better off for it.
