Are some senses of humor just a little too...macabre?

Right now, I'm remodeling a bathroom, for an old couple. There is a death watch for the woman. Lots of traffic, in and out of the house, by people who are coming to say their last goodbyes, while I'm banging away and making noise, in the room across the hall...I see lots of opportunity for humor, there.

Not if it's that daggone cheater online who keeps killing everyone. In that case, you shoot him, kill him, then get all your friends and chuck grenades at his corpse.

In all seriousness, some senses of humor ARE way too dark. But I myself have kind of a dark sense of humor - when I'm not being sarcastic, anyway. It's a way of dealing with things that would otherwise be depressing or infuriating.
