Are the eggs still good if I forgot to get them yesterday?

I visited Australia one time and noted with interest that the eggs sold in the supermarket were out on the shelves, just like packaged goods. Not refrigerated. I wonder if they are handled differently than they are in north America.

A lot of countries sell eggs that way--they think we're nuts for refrigerating them. BTW, I've gone away for a week and collected eggs when we returned, no problem.

Thanks! I got to the nesting boxes and found most of the eggs cracked!

I hope we don't have an egg eater!!!! I guess I have learned my lesson to get eggs EVERY day!
