Are the girls molting?

I am not sure if the girls are molting or not. It started with one and now 6 out of 8 seem to be featherless on their backs near the base of the tale and heading to the neck. They are about 9 months old and have been laying 5-7 eggs a day. The last couple of days they have gone down to 3. I have looked them over a bit and can not see any bugs on them. One is almost bald from the middle of her back to the base of her tail.
