Me either.
My dad did not believe in God; he thought the whole thing was "a nice fairy tale." But he did say that there was a lot of good and helpful stuff in the Bible.
So much of it is used to further someone's argument. That is sad. And a lot depends on how the original writing was translated, and the interpretation given to the English version. English itself has changed enormously over time.
Its just, frusterating. I am glad to see more and more Christians supporting gay people. The church up my street has pride flags bordering the church (people steal them, though).. but I've also seen churches with weird messages like "gay is a sin" and "love is a choice".. it just makes me sigh
