Are these almost 5 week old EEs cockerels? (pic heavy)

Well, what about these ones? (I hatch both of these on March 17th. Dad is an EE) I was pretty sure these two were the girls and the previous two were the boys.

This one is EE x EE
Her/his name is Flower, for now...

This one is EE roo x Silver Grey Dorking hen. We call her/him Nine because she has 9 toes.

I think your flower may be a boy based on the stance and thickness of legs, but again I could be wrong :p
I'm stumped on the last one. I'm thinking roo because of the lack of feather growth. Just guessing for now. That's a nice bunch you have :)

I started thinking Flower was a boy because the comb is getting kind of red and with Nine, I saw him/her picking fights with some of the other chicks. But I heard girls sometimes do that too. So, I don't know. Gah! LOL

I've heard the girls bumped chests too and it got me all hopeful a while back. But I ended up with two roos! Ugh, so stressful. Well, I hope you still end up with girls! Best wishes!

I think Flower is likely a pullet; that is typical girl-only EE coloring...but you have 2nd generation EE so the rules don't hold as close...I still think pullet...1 row of peas, and I have had girls get "peachy" combs (as long as it doesn't get truly red, you should be safe).

Nine is probably a rooster. That's a lot of flesh on that comb, and it may have 3 rows of peas (which isn't a hundred percent as some girls have 3 rows of peas), although there is one main row and two smaller side rows and it is yellow. Also the feather patterning is very even, so it could be a pullet...the thick legs I think come from the Dorking so that isn't as indicative. Nine is a hard one. If red bars come into those white down patches on the wing bows, you'll know for certain it is a roo.

Watch and wait on these.

What is a second generation EE? Are all EE's bred from EE parents? I'm pretty certain the breeding stock at hatcheries are EEs bred to EEs. Am I wrong in thinking this?

Well, I have some updated pics. They are 6 weeks old now and I'm fairly certain they are both cockerels.

Here's Nine. Sorry they're blurry, but you clearly see the red shoulder feathers...

And here's Flower. I see red shoulder feathers, but it seems they are a tad more dispersed than Nine's.

It was bright out so it's difficult to see the red feathers, but they are there.

Just wanted to clarify that Easter eggers are not a breed. they are a cross of a bird that carries a gene for blue eggs crossed with whatever breed a hatchery has handy. Here is a link to give you more info on this. : ) http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html
I think flower is a little boy for sure.
