I bought some welsummer eggs from someone on here. I only hatched two of these chicks and they are now 5 weeks old. But these chicks look different so I'm wondering if they are both welsummers? Notice the feet?

Here's chick #1

They definitely are welsummers. Mine don't have green legs. I dig out some pictures of my welsummers at about that age and post tommorrow

I'm positive that you don't have welsummers. Contact me in the spring if you would like to hatch some more. When my girls get back to laying regular, I will send you some speckled dark terra cotta welsummer eggs for just the cost of postage. The dark eggs and the speckled eggs are from my welsummers.

# 1 is an Easter Egger Not sure about the other. Still are pretty birds though. Post some more pictures in a couple of weeks and maybe we can tell a little better.

As promised here are some welsummer pictures taken at 12 wks.

Welsummer can be sexed with reasonable accuracy at hatch. The pullets have a large dark brown vee on their heads. At about 4 wks the comb will be much larger on the cockerels and their hackle is starting to become quite evident. Hope this helps.
