Are these cockerals or pullets?

We have some chicks that we purchased at TSC. The ones I am worried about are the California whites. We have 4 of them and 3 seem to be growing some large combs.....largwr than the rest of my chicks. What do you all think......could these be roos?

Oh man! Thats what I was afraid of. These are our first chicks so i wasn't sure. We don't want any roosters. Guess I am on the hunt for a new home for them!

I agree. The white ones seem to be growing ahead of thre flock. There is a chance that it could be their breed since it is only those two, but don't quote me on that.

The white ones are about a week younger than all the others as well. All of the sudden they just took off and are now the largest.

I know how you feel. I had 5 silkie chicks that all turned out to be roos, I rehomed them, got 4 sultan chicks and three of THEM were roosters.

If they're younger than the rest, but the same size all of a sudden, are you sure they're California Whites? TSC is notorious for having miss marked chicks. If they're growing at a faster rate than the others they may be Cornish x, a meat bird that should be culled at 8-10 weeks old.
