Yeah that's upright, I do some eggs in incubators like this and upright I've found the embryo attaches itself to the very top (fat side) of the egg. On the eggs I incubate on their sides the embryo attaches itself (or grows) to the middle of the egg.
I don't know why the veins look weak. But I do hope you get most of your eggs to hatch for you.

Yes I think it was. It’s alright, 8/12 seem to be doing ok. I’ll candle them right now and post pics of ones I’m unsure about.
