There wasn’t an egg yesterday or today. Wishful thinking! It was 6 days between the others, will most likely be thursdayish if there’s another. I’ve read that first season layers don’t lay as much.

That weird splint that wasn’t working has been removed off of its leg.

Could you use a popsicle stick and just splint the bad leg?

I thought about it. One tiny problem, well maybe two… #1 I don’t have any popsicle sticks lol #2 not sure how I would attach it and have it do any good. It’s kneeling now, which is better than this morning. I’ll try to get a good photo of its leg.

It’s weird. One of the legs goes straight forward a bit (tendons at the joint are in their proper spot) and the other leg is pointed in towards the center. Hoping it works itself out! I may have a bum leg emu as a pet.

Other half may be upset at me towards the end of next week… apparently I had the winning bid on two possible blonde or white hatching eggs forgot I bid on the other two! And couldn’t figure out why I had an email saying I won something

Thanks for the tip! I completely forgot I threw a bid on these eggs two days ago. Wanting to win, but secretly hoping I wouldn’t. Then forgot about it lol so was pleasantly and unpleasantly surprised to get the email.

All I can hope for is a good trip through our good ‘ol United States postal service.

Look for sticks outside. You can often find ones with a bend in just the right place to fit the curvature of the leg. But maybe simply try cardboard and/or Cuban/vet wrap. Also maybe consider the twist is coming from the hip. Anyway, good luck!

It seems to be ok. It’s leg is a little off and it’s having trouble learning how to walk. But i think it will straighten out.

Next 4 are due to hatch 5/6. I keep forgetting two more eggs are coming from Michigan

i just read through all of these!! convinced my brother we need some dinosaurs.. its a yes if we get a chunk of land! ill hold back on being hopeful until its no longer a very distant possibility Anyway, i saw you mention that boy are sweeter?
