Are these emu eggs fertile? Hatchalong

Pics
Thanks! The genetics place actually called me to tell me the results were in. 3 males, 1 female. Still waiting for two more results to come back, one sample hasn’t left the house yet, but the guy wants them regardless.

I’m considering getting two kangaroos 🤗 I don’t need them, but I could trade chicks to this guy next year for joeys.

😈

Kangaroos!!!! I want a wallaby!!

My favorite peep and first hatched is going to a guy that has another male that’s the same age. He wants friendly males as pets.

The only female so far is going to a lady that has a 5 year old male that’s been living alone his entire life. She’s so excited to raise her until she can go out and be with him.

The other 4 are going to a guy that has exotic animals and does shows at expos. He will be reselling the chicks in the Portland area. I wasn’t too sure about this, but he’s done it many years in a row and teaches new owners about emus and their requirements. He already paid and is sending an employee to pick them up tomorrow.

Almost all of them are gone 😭 one little lady left. She cries and cries, I feel so bad.

#8 hatched today though. The other egg is still wiggling. So we’ll see if it makes it.

Turns out she went to the best home… they hold her and hand feed her. She will live inside for a month or so being talked to constantly. So glad!

Now there are two freshly hatched chicks to care for. Time to clean the brooder and give it another go! There are supposed to be two more hatching this week. Then it’s about a two week gap between the next group. Not sure if all 6 eggs went in then? I’ll have to take them out of the incubator and check set dates 🤔

Currently 11 eggs in the incubator.
